The day-before odds usually are confined to on-track bets at the Baltimore track. They usually do not include the handle from all sources around North America until Saturday at 10 a.m. EDT. That is why the odds until then often bear little resemblance to the first click after everything is co-mingled. It also is why advance-deposit wagering platforms have not shown the live odds until race day. The actual number of dollars bet into the win pool usually is not revealed until all the betting sources come together.
Kentucky Derby runner-up and two-time Grade 2 winner Epicenter was installed as the 6-5 morning-line favorite in the field of nine starters for Saturday’s race, which is posted to start at 7:01 p.m. EDT.

Pimlico removed the live odds from its in-house TVs sometime after the Black-Eyed Susan, and a spokesman said they were otherwise unavailable.
The will-pays for the Black-Eyed Susan - Preakness double showed Epicenter to be a heavy favorite on the back end of Interstatedaydream’s victory Friday. If Epicenter were to win the Preakness on Saturday, the $2 double would pay $47.20.
