As the winter feels very stable across the country, the temperature drops sharply.

At this time of the year, we check when it snows or get up 10 minutes early in the morning to defrost the car.

Basically, it will freeze.

It seems that the snow may last for a while, which is a benefit for motorists.

But the rain and cold have come, and the icy windshield and slippery roads are posing danger.

According to the "Daily Record" report, although it freezes our bones very well, it can even cause damage to the items we leave in the car.

GFS Car Parts stated that extremely cold weather can be as bad as high temperatures.

Mark Barclays of the car company said: “As the weather gets cold, we should be careful not to leave anything in our car. Electronic equipment such as mobile phones and laptops, instruments, and any pressurized objects (such as aerosols) And canned goods) brought indoors.

"However, it is also important to remember what you should put in the car. When driving in cold conditions, carry a'winter car kit' with you.

"This should include cell phone chargers or battery packs (which can be safely stored in a mobile, warm car), ice scrapers and de-icers.

"Sunglasses are also a good choice in the harsh winter sun, but once the car gets cold after the engine is turned off, please bring them indoors to prevent cracking.

"Finally, drive with an empty fuel tank in winter. This way, if you run out of gas, you can walk to the nearest garage and fill up your car. Take some simple measures and bring things with you before they are damaged. Now, you can spend a safe and happy time on the road this winter."

GFS Car Parts proposes five items that you should not leave in the car during the severe cold:

iPhone and Android users sometimes see the temperature screen during heat waves.

This is because smartphones, tablets, laptops, and PCs all have an ambient temperature range that allows them to perform optimally.

Most Apple devices work optimally when the ambient temperature is between 0 and 35 degrees Celsius-for reference, the average temperature of our body is 37 degrees Celsius.

If you leave your mobile phone or computer in the car and the temperature outside the car drops below freezing, you may experience problems such as shortened battery life of the device or even shutting down. The best way to avoid this situation is to only put electronic devices in the car when you are using it, because it will be warmer in the car. Take your work laptop, cell phone and any other equipment with you when you get out of the car.

If you do not need to take medicines regularly, please take them with you.

Although many drugs do not necessarily become harmful when stored at lower temperatures, it is difficult to assess whether they will work as expected.

However, for insulin, there is a greater impact

Unopened insulin vials should be stored in the refrigerator, and opened vials should be stored at room temperature. However, if insulin freezes, it will become ineffective and will not lower your blood sugar as it should.

The best way is to bring it in. Once it freezes, do not use it even if it is thawed. Some people also report that injecting frozen insulin can be painful, so even if the temperature does not drop to the freezing point, it will affect the drug.

Extremely hot or cold weather will have a considerable impact on various aerosol products. If they become too cold, they will become unstable or even explode.

If you have been following the recent TikTok trend about what people should put in the car, when you get home, be careful to take any aerosol deodorant or hair spray out of the car.

The same is true for canned food. The water used to preserve canned food swells in cold weather, causing the can to explode as the pressure increases.

Therefore, do not store them in garages or sheds, as both places will be affected by the same temperature drop as a car.

Musicians should know that the ambient temperature has an effect on them. Colder temperatures will shrink the wood, which is why in winter you will often find that your guitar is easily out of tune in the cold.

However, leaving these instruments in the car in cold weather can cause the wood to crack, so it is definitely worth bringing them indoors.

Store them away from the radiator so that their surrounding environment will not be affected by extreme changes in cold or heat.

During the recent fuel shortages in certain parts of the UK, you may find it tricky to keep your car's tank full of gasoline all the time. However, if possible, keeping the fuel tank above half full can prevent the gasoline from freezing, making your journey in the morning easier.

Checking the amount of gasoline in the car is also the best time to quickly check the tire pressure, because sometimes colder weather can cause the car's tire pressure to drop. This will adversely affect the performance of your car, so it is worth paying attention to. Filling up the fuel and keeping the car tires properly inflated will give you a smoother driving experience throughout the winter.
